The Role

The Senior IT Specialist will be responsible for managing Magic’s IT systems and processes, ensuring the technology experience of employees across the organization is seamless. You will report to the Sr. Manager IT and will be tasked with scaling the IT capabilities for a fast-growing startup. You will play a critical role in ensuring that Magic’s IT function is aligned with the company's overall goals and supports the seamless technology experience of employees across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on senior specialist with a proven track record of running large-scale IT operations and will have the skills necessary to manage expanding tech needs.

Must be local to the New York, NY Area for closer team collaboration.

You Will

  • Ensure a seamless technology experience for employees across the Magic organization.
  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for IT that aligns with the Magic’s overall business goals.
  • Further develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet the company's needs.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies and regulations.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the IT function and develop solutions to address them.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that IT is aligned with the company's overall goals.
  • Develop and implement best practices for IT operations, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality service to employees.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in IT, incorporating new technologies and approaches as appropriate.
  • Automate business processes to increase employee productivity and increase satisfaction

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT operations, with a proven track record of managing large-scale IT functions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of IT professionals.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Strong project management skills with experience overseeing large-scale IT projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong customer focus with a commitment to providing high-quality service to employees.
  • Experience customizing and managing and working in MDM solutions, Identity Access Management tools, and Collaboration Suites such as Jamf, Zoom, Slack and Google Workspace
  • Scripting experience and a natural curiosity about simplifying procedures and reducing or eliminating repetitive tasks
  • Experience managing budgets and allocating resources effectively.
